KBS Max HL hybrid shafts launched
KBS has seen great success with the new Max line of wood and iron shafts that are designed for players who need to add some height in order to optimize their shots. The KBS Max HL hybrid shaft is the last piece of the puzzle KBS needed to now offer a full bag of shafts that will help golfers hit higher and more accurate golf shots.
The KBS Max HL hybrid shafts will be similar to their wood siblings, utilizing the same EI profile. KBS has built the Max HL hybrid shaft around fitting their swing speed instead of just going by flex. This philosophy will give slower swing speed players the ability to hit higher shots with added spin for better distance and dispersion.
The Max HL shafts will be offered in flexes from a 40 gram R2 through an 80 gram X-Stiff and in three different color options. Each shaft will be available in black gloss, white gloss, or KBS red gloss paint to match or contrast with the rest of your clubs. Fitters and builders will be able to get more creative with their players as the Max HL will be the common .370 tip diameter and have 10 inches of parallel tip section.

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.
“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
