Did Adam Scott just announce that his new Miura irons are coming to retail?
On Monday, in a somewhat cryptic Instagram post – which probably wasn’t intended to be all that cryptic, really – Adam Scott officially aligned his personal brand with equipment manufacturer Miura Golf. He also revealed an official date – “3.28.23” – with a caption that reads “coming soon.”
But wait…what exactly is coming soon?

In case you missed it, Scott revealed a new set of custom Miura irons at The 2023 Players Championship. The irons were freshly delivered and still in the packaging on Tuesday prior to the event, so he didn’t put them into play just yet, but he did reveal the new look to GolfWRX, which you can see in the photo below.

Back at the 2022 Memorial Tournament, Scott first switched to a never-before-seen custom set of Miura irons, which were mysteriously stamped with only his brand logo.
He’s continued to use those 1-of-1 irons since then.
The new irons he unveiled at The 2023 Players Championship, however, revealed additional stampings: a Miura brand logo on the sole, as well as company founder Katsuhiro Miura’s Hanko stamp on the cavity. The addition of Miura branding suggested a strengthened relationship between Scott and Miura, but we were left to wonder what exactly it all meant.

Scott’s Instagram video post on Monday may have just given us a huge hint at the answer.

The “Miura x Adam Scott” text seems to solidify that there’s an official partnership of sorts between the two parties. Additionally, the March 28th date seems to suggest that Scott’s custom Miura irons may actually be coming to retail.
Is that what he means by “coming soon”?
It feels like that answer is a firm yes, but alas, the video post doesn’t outright say that the irons are coming to retail. Unfortunately, that means we’ll still have to await further confirmation from Miura or Scott himself.
But, if I had to guess what it means, I’d say there’s a big announcement coming from Adam Scott and Miura on March 28. Don’t be surprised if it involves a new set of Miura x Scott irons coming to the retail market, either.
Let’s hope I’m not wrong.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Miura makes an unbelievable product. I tend to stick w Mizuno but would absolutely consider a clear blade from them. I could do without the AS branding but otherwise those are clean af
