Cleveland CBX2 Black Satin wedges: High performance, refined looks
“Most golfers play cavity back irons, so why not bring that type of forgiveness to your short game?” has been Cleveland’s philosophy with their CBX2 wedges, and now you can get the same short game saving technology with an all-new sleeker look thanks to the introduction of the CBX2 Black Satin wedges.
“The Cleveland CBX wedge line has been a revolution for wedges. The new Cleveland CBX 2 has made the short game easier, and now golfers will have expanded options when choosing their wedges with the new black Satin release.”
Mike Powell, President of North America Sales and Marketing at Cleveland Golf.

Cleveland CBX 2 wedges: Technology
Hollow-Cavity Design: With a hollow chamber near the heel and a heavy weight placed in the toe, the hollow-cavity design maximizes MOI and perimeter weighting for maximum forgiveness around the entire face.
Feel Balancing and Gelback Technologies: Enhanced Feel Balancing Technology along with a Gelback TPU Insert reduces vibration for a pure feel at impact.
Rotex Face Technology: Fourth generation Rotex Face Technology delivers the company’s sharpest Tour Zip Grooves and most aggressive face milling. This improves spin in all conditions, especially on half shots, and around the green when mousture is present.
Dynamic Sole: Three specialized sole grinds options.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
