Brooks Koepka spotted with Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero driver in play in Saudi Arabia
The Saudi International is Brooks Koepka’s second tournament of 2020, so it’s just the second time the four-time major champion has put a peg in the ground since the 2020 batch of driver releases hit the market.
Koepka, who began the competition with the 10.5-degree TaylorMade M5 driver (with Mitsubishi Diamana D+ 70 TX shaft) he bagged last year, was spotted with the new Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero (Triple Diamond) in play for the third round. Additionally, the Florida native appears to have switched to a Mitsubishi Tensei AV White 75 TX shaft.
As Koepka isn’t a Callaway staffer, we’re not likely to get any official information on the change.
Koepka fired a 5-under 65 Saturday with the club in the bag.
We’ll update this story if/when we know more.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

This change is probably because the SIM spins too low leading to off-line shots that just fall out of the air.

tried Mavrik at Callaway demo day, got to hit my current driver (Hogan GS53 Hzrdus Smoke 5.5) on scope and 3 different Mavrik setups , really could not find any distance, but my swing speed is only 87 to 90..I would believe anyone over 100, 105 swing speed on up maybe will have more success because the guy after me was at 117 swing speed and said he was gaining 10 or more yards every hit you could sure tell the difference his hits and mine. I guess us over 70 guys have bought are last 5 yards out there…

New Mavrik line is no joke, it’s incredible. Easily the best driver of 2020 in my opinion!

Huge win for Callaway if he keeps it in the bag. Bigger than signing any player outside of Tiger
