PXG has announced four new additions to the team for 2020, with Chez Reavie, Jason Kokrak, Joel Dahmen, and LPGA Tour rookie Haley Moore all set to play the brand’s clubs this year.

Reavie, who is a multiple winner on Tour, will start his campaign as a PXG professional at this week’s Sentry Tournament of Champions having qualified for the event following his impressive win at the Travelers Championship in 2019.

Speaking on his signing with PXG, Reavie stated

“I am beyond excited to join the PXG Troops. The level of service they provide to everyone, not just the tour staff, is unbelievable.

“I appreciate that they sincerely want to help me play my best and feel confident that their golf clubs will help me get it done. And, in the true spirit of PXG, hopefully I’ll have even more fun while I’m at it.”

Jason Kokrak and Joel Dahmen will join Reavie on Tour with PXG clubs in their bag for the new year. Kokrak notched five top-10 finishes on Tour in 2019, while Dahmen has already posted two top-20 finishes at the beginning of the wraparound season.

Haley Moore will play the company’s clubs during her rookie year on the LPGA Tour after she earned her Tour card during the 2019 LPGA Q-Series Finals.

Speaking on the four new signings to team PXG, the company’s founder and CEO, Bob Parsons said

“In any of my businesses, when I hire a new employee I look for a light in their eyes. It’s no different when I sign a tour pro. I’m pleased and proud to welcome Chez, Jason, Joel and Haley to the PXG Troops and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the new year.”

Seems like PXG is where Pro careers go to die. Hopefully that is not the case for these folks…

Love how Bob Parsons thinks he’s hiring them. If you;re lucky enough to have a tour pro play your clubs, they are clearly hiring you.

His products are overpriced and overrated.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping

Published

on

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.

That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.

On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”

On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”

“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Check out Shipley’s full what’s in the bag and the rest of his wedge stampings here on “Inside the Ropes” from Colonial.
