First look: Scotty Cameron Jet Setter H-12

Published

Scotty Cameron Jet Setter

Scotty Cameron’s Jet Setter H-12 putter is the latest edition of Cameron’s GoLo putter. It features Cameron’s “Knuckle Head “ neck design, a plumbing neck configuration that allows the length of the shaft below the knuckle to be customized to control toe flow.

The H-12 has the same smoky grey finish of the original GoLo, but it is accented with “sublime lime,” “deep asphalt black” and “battleship grey” paint fill, as well as a lime-colored hand-stitched leather grip, a milled 6601 aluminum hand-polished shaft ring and a Tour Black shaft.

The 303-milled stainless steel putter features deep milling in the face and comes with one of Cameron’s specially desiged headcovers. They will be limited to 750 pieces.

Check out the photos we snapped below at Titleist headquarters where employees were putting the finishing touches on Cameron’s latest limited-edition run.

Scotty ripped off the ping anser and so it continues with other club manufacturers (i.e. Odyssey). That headcover is badaaaaaas though. Sweet paint also. Just another putter with some fancy drilling in the back of the face. Just another putter…

The New Scotty Cameron really have a nice clean look even with the Lime Marking. The headcover looks great as well!!!

How original. It looks like a cross between a Ping B-60 and an Odyssey mallet at 3x the price. C’mon Scotty, you’ve got to come up with something better than that.

This reminds me of my studio design no. 5. Hope my club gets one to sell I want to try it before I see if its worth the 500.00 bucks I bet they will want for it.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping

Published

on

Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.

That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.

On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”

On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”

“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Check out Shipley’s full what’s in the bag and the rest of his wedge stampings here on “Inside the Ropes” from Colonial.
