Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Love the look of it. I never liked the look of the Nike drivers. But this one I would have tried it. Looks super love the rear weight section on the sole. Didn’t none on the OEM company’s left buy the Nike Patten’s? Bet this design would have sold well,if it worked as good as it looked. The colors looked very good. To bad it never got it never got to market.

meh…they would have sold like all the other Nike equipment…far behind most of the other major OEM’s.

Love it! Wish it was available. My golfing is over once my Covert 2.0 is scratched on top and RZN golf balls are all gone. I painted a Swoosh on my clubs way back when since small steel drivers. Not starting to paint other companies again. 37 years a Nike fan since little baby boots. Haven’t purchased a single Nike item since no more golf clubs. Still look at stuff but simply refuse to buy anything from them anymore.

There were more images of other drivers, wedges, irons, putters, and limited edition colorway driver. Images were added right below this post you’re talking about in the Nike thread.

Why live in the past? Why even discuss what would have been a useless piece of equipment?
