36 mins in and I cant listen to any more. Bad putters simply move their hands too much and cant sense the speed. NO one needs to anchor their stroke. Practice putting with a line drawn on the ball, if it doesnt roll end over end then the face angle is moving around because you are rotating your hands and or swiping it. Just hold the grip in the palms, very different from how you hold your other clubs. If you can roll it on the line then practice with one ball and varying distances to develop feel for distance, it will be easier to adjust for every possible speed later. Putting is hard because greens and not perfect surfaces so do your best and have fun. Theres no secret and we dont need 1000 hours of training to do it, you just need to get comfortable to putt your best.

Bradley was putting great at the BMW. His ball was rolling and tracking online with no weird rolls. He is using a really short putter.

Simply…. find another anchor point or points with the smaller putter.

On this episode of Club Junkie, I dive into the brand-new Ping i540 irons and talk about where they fit in the lineup, their performance on the course, and who I think they are really made for. There is a lot to love — and maybe one complaint in the new i540 irons.

The show also covers the new L.A.B. VZN.1i putters that have started showing up, plus some new Graphite Design Tour AD shafts spotted out on the PGA Tour and what makes them interesting. Wrapping things up, I might swap a few shafts into some putters and talk through how those changes might completely alter feel and performance.

Club Junkie’s Titleist GTS driver fitting results!

Published

on

On this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, I head to the Titleist Performance Institute for a full driver fitting with the new Titleist GTS lineup. We dive into the fitting process, talk about what made the biggest difference in performance, and break down how the different GTS heads and shaft combinations compare on the launch monitor. If you are thinking about a new driver setup for this season, there is a lot to take away from this one.

I also get into Brooks Koepka and the gear setup he brought to the PGA Championship, including the putters that caught my eye during the week. There are some interesting equipment trends showing up at the highest level right now and we break down what stands out.

To wrap things up, I talk about reshafting a few wedges, what I learned during the process, and swapping an adaptor onto a new shaft for another build project in the shop. A gear packed episode from start to finish for anyone who loves golf equipment and club building.
