Adidas launches special edition Silver Boost for The Players
Adidas announced today a new colorway for the company’s Boost line: silver. Look for Adidas staffers to be wearing some variety of the silver shoes Friday at The Players.
The silver colorway will be available in Tour360, Tour 360 Knit, and Crossknit 2.0 models. Adidas launched a special edition black Boost colorway in March.
“Having additional colors for our Boost technology is something all golf fans have been waiting for,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, Adidas Golf. “We saw amazing interest around our special edition Boost colorway we introduced in black, and know that this silver version will be yet another great style option for those looking to wear the best cushioning in the game.”
Boost technology is proprietary to Adidas, in partnership with BASF. It offers cushioning in the form of highly elastic thermoplastic urethane (TPU) pellets that are then fused together with heat and molded into the midsole shape for each specific model. The company touts the technology’s energy return, cushioning, comfort, and durability among its highlights.
The special edition silver Boost colorway is available now. MSRPs: Tour360: $210, Tour360 Knit: $190: and Crossknit 2.0: $160 models. All shoes will be available at adidas.com and at select retailers nationwide.

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Desperation will drive the rich to seek help from their equipment while ignoring their decrepit bodies. Anybody with these shoes deserve contempt to the max.
