8 Products Made Special for The Masters
The Masters is like an alarm clock for most golfers; it wakes them up from a winter-long hiatus from the game. And once you hear the Masters theme music and a “Hello friends” from Jim Nantz, you can’t help but bring the clubs out of the closet that you stashed away for the offseason.
And to celebrate the excitement, golf companies (and fast food restaurants) release one-off and limited-edition equipment and apparel with a Masters/Augusta National theme. Let’s break out the green and yellow, and break down some of the coolest products made special for the Masters. Some are old, some are new, but they’re all awesome.
Mizuno Irons
According to a Mizuno representative, these prototype irons were built for the domestic market in Japan during the 1990s in very limited quantities. How does one bring his/herself to take a divot with irons this beautiful? h/t reddit/golf
Rory McIlroy Bose Headphones
These limited edition QC25 headphones, designed for select iPod, iPhone and iPad models, will retail for $399.95. Only 500 were made.
While I don’t think Rory sits in airport terminals like us normal folk, these are some sweet head phones.
Learn more about the headphones here.
Lamkin Grips
Lamkin’s special-edition Masters grips include Wrap-Tech, UTx and its new SINK putter model. The Wrap-Tech is built with shock absorption, the UTx is designed for stability ad the SINK putter grip helps to promote alignment and steady hands — all of which Masters participants will need to navigate the diabolical green complexes at Augusta National.
Grips are available for purchase here.
GolfWRX Putter Cover
Hey Jordan, do you like these new GolfWRX putter covers?

They are 2015 Masters-champion approved.
Bettinardi HWY 20
We’re giving one of these awe-inspiring Bettinardi HWY 20 Limited Run DASS “Road to Augusta” prototype putters away in the forums.
Lego replica
There’s loving Augusta, and then there’s a building Lego replicas of Masters leaderboards and Augusta National’s clubhouse. I think we know which category this one falls under.
Augusta Food/Beverage Sign
Even if you haven’t been to The Masters, you’ve probably heard tales of their $1.50 pimento cheese sandwiches and relatively dirt cheap beers.
If you love Augusta and its traditions, this work of art is a great addition to your collection. The artwork is called “A Menu Unlike Any Other” and comes from the Classic Georgia and Sugarloaf Social Club. Profits benefit the Yates Scholarship Program.

Arby’s joins in
Speaking of pimento cheese sandwiches, Arby’s Augusta location has a “pigmento” sandwich on its menu to commemorate The Masters. And it has bacon on it. This should finally answer the question that nobody has asked ever: “I wonder if Arby’s curly fries and bacon would go well with pimento cheese sandwiches?”
Arby’s curly fries and bacon go well with everything.
Equipment
Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.

Not to get all grammar police on you but it should read “made especially” not “made special”. I’m aware it’s only a blog but good writing is good writing.

Surely Rory needs to win a Green Jacket before there can be a ‘Masters’ color anything with his signature on it?
Or perhaps there’s another Final Round Meltdown product with Greg Norman’s name on it and it’s some kind of consolation prize that we were previously unaware of.
