Must have — Six great belly putters
Following up after our latest article that is catching a lot of buzz- “The Book On Belly Putters” we thought it would be appropriate to show you a closer look at some top Belly Putter options. GolfWRX talked to leading putter fitters and designers to provide you with everything you need to know about belly putters. We’ll help you decide if a belly putter is right for you, how to get fit, and even how to use one. Here is a link to the article that has gone viral.
Here are six great belly putters-
SuperStroke Fatso- The DCF-27 Diamond Cut Finish is vertically milled with a proprietary specialized machining process. Its performance even outshines its luxurious appearance. According to designer Bruce Sizemore this results in finely spaced vertical friction that creates the truest, most consistent roll in golf. GolfWRX having tested this belly also believe the lines on the top of the head allow you to frame the ball and stroke the putt with confidence. Excellent option and one that you wont see in every bag. Click here to read all about Bruce Suzemore

Ping Nome Belly- The Nome belly features adjustable shafts. An adjustment tool loosens a stainless steel ring, allowing you to easily self-adjust the length from 37.5 to 46.5 inches on the belly, and 44.5 to 54.5 inches on the long putter to optimize the fit and performance. The black alignment bar and white sightline ensure consistent accuracy when lining up your putts. Click here to read a full review.

Odyssey Metal #7 Belly- The new Metal-X insert provides the crisp feedback of a metal striking force, coupled with amazing feel. The unique face pattern generates the truest roll in golf and the ovals on the face develop a mechanical lock with the golf ball’s dimples at impact, creating friction and imparting an incredibly consistent roll for high precision distance control. Packed in the modern day 2-ball this head shape has performed on tour time and time again.

TaylorMade Ghost Manta Belly- Rich and more durable white finish eliminates glare; high contrast with turf makes aiming easy. New large performance mallet shape promotes great feel and excellent stability on mis-hits. PureRoll Surlyn face insert promotes forward spin for a smooth, accurate roll and beautiful soft feel. Dual alignment lines frame the ball, making aiming easy while maintaining a clean and simple appearance. Click here to read the full review

SeeMore M Series Belly- All SeeMore belly putters feature the patented RifleScope Technology (RST) alignment system, for a true reference point for perfect alignment and set up on every putt. While being stabilized, using a SeeMore belly putter reinforces the same philosophy for consistency as in SeeMore’s standard length putters.

Nike Method Concept Belly- The art is in the profound shape. This radical shape has the appearance of a blade, yet plays like a mallet. This bold red front and the strong black back design radiates Nike and will appeal to those who are curious and are looking for ways to bring a new level of confidence to the putting green. Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
