Photos from the 2014 Hero World Challenge
GolfWRX is live from the Hero World Challenge hosted by five-time champion Tiger Woods at Isleworth Golf & Country Club in Windermere, Fla. The course will play as a par-72, measuring 7,354 yards.
The 72-hole event has a purse of $3.5 million for the field of 18, and awards Official World Golf Ranking points, making the showcase attractive to the world’s best golfers. The field is set to include Woods himself, 2014 FedEx Cup champion Billy Horschel, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson, Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler among other heavyweight names.
Last year, Zach Johnson defeated Woods in a playoff after holing out a wedge shot from the drop area on hole No. 18 at Sherwood Country Club to force extra holes.

Why would TW take money from a company from a country that can’t feed its own people?
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-08-28/poor-in-india-starve-as-politicians-steal-14-5-billion-of-food.html
So sad. Another poor move by TW.
And the company no longer is associated with Honda and wants to do its own thing. Weird.

It really saddens me to know that a Motorcycle company is a sponsor of a GOLF tournament.

The FJ shoes have copied the Adidas shoes of 3years ago, the Air Jordan are sick looking. The Pumas of Rickie’s look heavy.

I wonder what the loft is on Tigers driver?

One of my buddies is there watching. Told me last night all he could hear was ” around 10 degrees”. Asked Joe and he wouldn’t say anything about any of the clubs. Seems like a lot of loft for Tiger, but maybe it will find the fairway.

I hit it best with a lower loft (I tend to hit up from reading some GD articles), but pro players tend to hit down. The guy at the launch monitor couldn’t quite understand it. I’m not a long driver as usually I’m hitting it 250, and 280 if I really hit it perfect (300 if the wind is strong and downhill). I’m not sure what Tiger does, but I’m pretty sure they’ve worked it out since he’s a pro and he’s Tiger. Pro’s always hitting lower lofts is a myth that we build for our ego’s. I probably ended up adjusting my swing so I could hit my 8.5 better LOL.

This article and comment section isn’t about you JL. Your comment has no relevance at all about the article. I don’t know why people are so fascinated with what loft Tiger plays. Most of you people wouldn’t be able to hit Tiger’s driver anyways. Uses a 95 gram shaft in his driver which most of you couldn’t even lift.

So much fir that find the fairway theory.

I see the AT&T logos just got bigger and bigger on Jordan’s bag. Like the color combo though. Nice bag. I would not mind swapping with my current one.

Rather nice Ping proto wedges Horschel I believe is playing. What is this goofy Scotty/SeeMore laser gimmick?

agreed on the “laser”…Unless you’re bent over like Michelle Wie, straight back and straight through is a recipe for permanently bad putting. Can’t be done without breaking your wrist, so unless you’re Nicklaus-don’t.
