Web.com Tour Q-School Photos
GolfWRX is live from the 2013 Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament at PGA West’s TPC Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament courses in La Quinta, Calif. This year’s Q-school means something different than it has in years past. Players who advance through the final stage no longer earn their PGA Tour card. Now, graduating from Q-School means only a spot on the Web.com Tour, with varying categories of exemptions (full/part time/conditional) based on where a player finishes.
To earn access on the PGA Tour, players either need to win three events in the same season on the Web.com Tour, or earn their card by finishing in the top 25 after the Web.com Tour Finals at the end of the year. Otherwise, PGA Tour hopefuls must battle their way onto the big tour by tallying enough points, or earning enough money in PGA Tour events through sponsors exemptions or in the majors.
This year’s final stage consists of the usual flurry of seasoned professionals and inexperienced rookies coming out of college. For some, the final stage of the Web.com Q-School actually coincide with their respective college’s final exam week, adding stress onto an already stressful week.
Some notable players to look out for include Max Homa (2013 NCAA individual champion), Michael Kim (2013 NCAA Player of the Year), Justin Thomas (NCAA POY in 2012, has made cut in 4 out of 6 PGA Tour starts), Daniel Berger (First Team All-American, NCAA Championship runner-up) and Anthony Paolucci (2nd stage medalist, finished 29th in 2011 Farmer Insurance Open while in high school).

WOW! No Ping players, and no Speedblades?
Love the Cleveland 588 TC irons. I hope they release them in February.
Anybody hear anything?

Actually there were a number of players with Pings in their bags. Just need to look closely. No Ping “Tour” staff bags, though.

Hey Greg,
I remember you from Patuxent Greens GC in Laurel,MD. Course has really grown in this year. Have you been able to break 80 since you left. I know you were struggling with just making contact back then

Yep! You nailed it. Kind of a dump but still has a little character.

Might be a different “Greg” cuz in the short time I was there, never played the course even once.
Too busy dealing with all the nightmare of problems the clubhouse had. With my off time I was out on Tour taking photos for GolfWRX, not playing.
