Gifts for the stylish golfer
It’s that time of year again, GolfWRX members as we begin daydreaming and filling our wish lists with the golf gear we want this holiday season.
The GolfWRX Holiday Gift Guide was created to ensure that our readers give (and hopefully receive) the very best golf gifts on the planet. These gift ideas will suit any budget, and each item was hand-picked by our staff.
By popular demand, we’re again presenting our guide as a series as we did in years past, targeting “the purist,” “the gearhead,” “the value seeker,” “the golfer looking to improve,” “the stylish golfer,” and “the big spender.”
Here are our best recommendations for stylish golfer in your life.
GolfWRX Holiday Essential: Bad Birdie Poetic Justice polo
We’ve loved Bad Birdie’s bold, eye-catching styles since the upstart apparel maker’s inception (the recent Liquid Death collab was a stroke of genius).
In the golf shirt space, we think Bad Birdie excels on two fronts: creativity of designs and quality of construction. Plenty of folks slap a wild print on a crappy shirt, and plenty of places churn out the 10,000th incarnation of the same bland polo design, but Bad Birdie unites cool, creative designs with quality shirts. Case in point: the company’s Poetic Justice polo.
It’s an unexpectedly awesome take on a floral pattern and one of Bad Birdie’s best sellers — and it’s 30 percent off with promo code GOLFWRXBF (as is the rest of the site for GolfWRXers).
Product description via Bad Birdie: Make a statement on and off the course with the Poetic Justice men’s polo from Bad Birdie Golf. Designed with bold patterns and breathable fabric, these polos bring unmatched style and performance to your game.
Price: $78 $55 (30% off) + 30% off sitewide using code GOLFWRXBF
Air Jordan 9 Retro Golf Shoes Black/Dark Charcoal/True Red
J’s on the course may be a divisive topic, but for the stylish golfer, when worn with the correct outfit, they’re an essential look. TrendyGolf is high on the Jordan 9 Retro, and who are we to argue with their taste?

Neal Shipley, AKA, the “Big Fridge’s,” custom stamping
Neal Shipley was the first to admit that he enjoyed his food while in college. But since his days at Ohio State, he’s slimmed down and earned a PGA Tour Card.
That hasn’t stopped him from having fun with his wedge stampings, though it’s led to some misunderstandings.
On the 54 (degree), we have ‘Big Fudge,'” Shipley told GolfWRX. “It was supposed to be ‘Big Fridge,’ so this happened a little while ago. ‘Big Fridge’ was a nickname between my college teammates and I, with ‘fridge’ meaning stomach, a big stomach.

“We told the Ping guys to put … ‘Big Fridge’ on it, and I think maybe some bad cell service or something, and they thought I said ‘fudge,’ so they put fudge on it.”
On Shipley’s 50-degree he also continues the food theme, this time with his go-to order at the “Golden Arches,” and his stamping “DONS 7.”
“The number 7 meal, the two cheeseburger meal, that was my McDonald’s order, back when I would have McDonald’s frequently,” Shipley shared.
